Blog Rennovation

I don't know if anyone noticed, but I did a little tinkering to the blog layout. Let me know what you all think.

And a note on posting, feel free to post any new or art that you want to share. This blog is for all of us, so do not worry that you are posting too much. Ideally, a blog gets more traffic when it has more frequent updates so the more the merrier!

While I was tinkering, I also redesigned my personal blog.  Stop by and let me know what you think!

(Frankly, I was working on my blog design and then started messing with our blog design before I forgot where to change things in the templates...)

50 Best Illustration Blogs and a Little Art Thrown In

Recently, there have been some links on various illustration sites to a site featuring the 50 best illustration blogs. Since we were talking about favorite blogs and websites recently I thought I would post it: http://webdesigndegree.com/50-best-illustration-blogs-on-the-web/

There are some really good links like this one I had not seen before and it is really cool: http://animationbackgrounds.blogspot.com/

Below is a painting I did a couple years ago for a flag. I have not posted anything in a while and this is summery-makes me want a mint julip...

By the way, I plan to redo my website soon. Does anyone have any recommendations for good sites to look at for ideas?

Tip: Google Alerts

Someone asked me what a Google alert is.

If you every want to know what people are clicking on when they do a search on your name, you can go to Google and set up an alert. (If your name is really popular, you may want to add illustrator, art or something to it. If your name is John Smith, for example.)

Every day you will get a digest email with a link to any new article or blog post that mentions your name and links to what people who searched your name click on when they search.

It is a handy tool. Here is a link!
