Just piggy-backing on Justin's post. :)
I have to agree that Dr. Sketchy is just a great environment and a lot of fun. I hope more people will come out to them. Here are few pictures I took and some of sketches from the Dr. Sketchy June session I did.
Justin and I really look forward to the viking setup in authentic armor in February. It would be cool to do a medieval warrior series. That is my wish list anyway.
ReplyDeleteThere's something interesting being born in the blue one...I enjoy watching the white patches jousting with the larger dark areas.
ReplyDeleteI would have liked to see you "cheat" with the lines of the chair and the main umbrella line to build the composition that's wanting to whip my eye from side to side.
Nice work, Brennan. I think you're moving in an interesting direction with this blue piece. Excellent job, Picasso :P When are you gonna paint your Guernica? I can't wait to see what else you come up with at later Dr. Sletchy's.
ReplyDeleteI did not expect the word "born" to pop in there. I got a weird image :P It's a strong sentence. Must be all the alliteration: "...being born in the blue one." Lively diction, Brian :P
Excellent photos, too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Justin. I should finish up the sketches sometime.
