I am very excited to announce the release of my new book
Zen Birds! In this book I illustrate thirty species of North American birds in a style inspired by traditional Asian brushwork. I also wrote short poems that accompany each illustration and that describe the quirky traits and habits peculiar to each species. This book is a celebration of the amazing lives of birds!
So if any of you out there like birds or know anyone who is interested in birds you can order it from your local bookstore or from
Amazon or
Barnes and Noble.
“Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best.”
-Henry Van Dyke
I really enjoyed getting the opportunity to see the interior pages at lunch.
ReplyDeleteLovely work!
THis is a stunning book. (To make everyone envious, I too saw the interiors one week at lunch.)
ReplyDeleteLet us know if you do any book signing events so we can get signed copies. Are you going to be at Books by the Banks?
I don't even know Books by the Banks! I will look it up. Let me know of any other suggestions for publicity. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cover! I've been looking at a lot of Chinese and Japanese art lately, and I'm really fascinated by it. I need to come to more lunches —I'd love to see more images like this!
