This Week at Arthur's...

Kelly and Michael-In from Brooklyn
Kelly just finished her illustration masters at SVA and
got into Spectrum this year. Congratulations!

A couple of Jerry's friends who moved to Brooklyn came to lunch this week and he took a couple snaps of the lunch crowd. Too bad no one thought to take a picture of Jerry. (I even have a new iphone to break in.)
Brian and Brennen... Justin's hand and
Eddie's head behind the menu.

We were not in front of Jerry's mural though, unfortunately.

lunch fire artist.

  1. That was a good lunch. I used to work with Eric, John, Michael, and Kelly at Kaman's Art Shoppes back during the Summer of 2002. Small world. I had no idea Jerry knew them. It was a good crowd :) Great lunch, guys.

  2. We need to have a special lunch where David gets up and sets fire to something. Bananas Foster, Cherries Jubilee, or just a burning man effigy made out of pretzel Rods —it doesn't really matter.

  3. That's a good idea Chuck! Linda said the illustrators lunch group used to have an occasional cook out. We should do that again and have Dave do some fire art for us!

  4. How about a special lunch for members of our group who have been fired. That should be well attended. We could roast editors and art directors.

  5. I would much be more likely to create a very small fire sculpture for a backyard outdoor party than inside a restaurant. Maybe an effigy of a small client - like a small burning man. Actually, maybe we could have a mini fire sculpture competition where everyone who wanted to could make a small sculpture and we could then burn them in a fire pit outside. I could think about appropriate materials that could be used and then we could build the small pieces and light them.
