Illustrator News: Craig Cleveland heading up new design program at Covington Catholic

At Covington Catholic High School, artist & teacher Craig Cleveland will come on board full-time as of the Fall.
He will be teaching Graphic Design I, II, and III, as well as Intro To Autocad at his Alma Mater.
In addition, he will also be heading up a Web Design class.

They have a new Technology Lab that features pc's, some mac's, a handful of new Wacom tablets for the students to draw with, a poster plotter...and hopefully a new Wacom Cintiq coming soon. Their website is: www.covcath.org

Some of the fun projects that Craig has challenged the students with:
> an original Board Game design, working in design teams of 2, featuring original illustrations, logo design and 3-dimensional mockups.
> create a hybrid automobile comprised of various parts from other vehicles

Some of Craig's students will be heading to colleges all over the country, majoring in design or illustration.
For example, one student will be taking design at Montana State.

If anyone in the Illustrator group is interested in coming to school, showing their work and inspiring others, they can reach him at:

Jerry Dowling visited last year and it was a big hit!
