2009 Christmas Cards... As Promised

To start off, it was great to see so many of you at the Christmas party last night. What a great turn-out! The only bad thing about it is that I really didn't get to talk to as many people as I would have liked. Ryan Ostrander, his wife and new baby were sitting right behind me and I didn't realise it until they were getting ready to leave! I did get a chance to meet Linda and Al's baby girl and to talk to Ursula Roma, who I've not visited with in years. Proud to be a part of such a talented and great group! Hat's off to Christina for setting up the party!

Now on to the business at hand... As promised here are my two Christmas cards for this year...
Here is the one sent to older relatives, families with young children, etc.

And now the"other"...

  1. Not only do you find time to make customized Christmas cards, but you do TWO...just for YUKS!

  2. I didn't send any to clients, although I used to. I have received exactly 1 holiday card from clients this year. Back in the day I'd get a dozen or more. Also the occasional fruit basket or box of candy. Sadly, we'll never see that kind of appreciation for free-lancers again.

I wished a Merry Christmas/Happy 1020 to all the art directors I've recently emailed. If I did send them cards, I would have sent the Santa sneezin'.

Especially with the majority of my work being for the kid's market!

  3. Ha! Great cards, Daryll! Sorry we didn't get a chance to catch up. We didn't get to talk with very many people the other night either. Tough to stay out very long with the little guy.
