12 Hours of Sebring

Just released this week is the official event poster for the 12 Hours of Sebring sportscar race in Florida, using my artwork for the 6th year running. If you fold it in half it also becomes their program cover, with foldout.

So, why all the green cars? The problem they have is getting the big teams to commit early to the race, and show us their planned paint schemes sometime in January, to be on the poster. As it happens those teams all had green cars.

  1. Great to see you posting Roger! That is interesting about the green cars. Appropriate for the race being on St. Patrick's day...

  4. Thanks all! I can only take credit/blame for the illustration. Sebring puts in all the graphic bits.

  5. The illustration is by far the best part, Roger!
Maybe it's because I'm not a huge racing fan, or maybe it's because it's been a long winter, but my eye keeps going to that beautifully rendered, warm sunset on the horizon with all the florida foliage —nicely done!
    (I wish I was there.)

  6. Roger, can you post the illo by itself? You apparently planned the art with some nice restful areas that were later filled with logos. I'd really like to see the piece as you designed it.

  7. Chuck, illustration sans graphics has been posted. I had no problem with them using the empty space on the lower right for some copy.

  9. Oooh-I dig them both, but seeing the illo on it's own is so nice!
