Malton Gallery is putting on an exhibit of art by Dr. Seuss featuring "rare and never before seen works from the 1920's to the early 1990's". The Exhibit is from May 1(opening reception) until June 5th.
Nice article about the exhibit in the Cincinnati Enquirer by Kathy Schwartz. It says there will be over 50 pieces featured!
This looks like a must-see, although I'm predicting lines around the block on opening night. Malton Gallery has great openings. The Jonathan Queen show a few months back was packed.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good point. I was thinking about going to the opening but maybe it will be crazy crowded. Perhaps I will go next Sunday instead so I can look more closely at the art...
ReplyDeleteGo to both!
ReplyDeleteGood idea! It says to RSVP. Is that usual for Malton? Do you have to make a reservation?
ReplyDeleteThat's news to me.
ReplyDeleteIt says to on their site...
ReplyDeleteEr, we spelled the Doc's name wrong.
ReplyDeleteIt's "Dr. Seuss."
This looks cool - another artist I "grew up on."
At least it was consistantly spelled wrong ;)
ReplyDeleteI just RSVPed. Hope to see some of you guys there Saturday!
ReplyDeleteSo, How was it?
