Several local illustrators/designers are offering classes and workshops at the Art Academy this Fall and Spring.

TAOS, NM SKETCH JOURNAL WORKSHOP

From June 16, 2013 to June 21, 2013

Workshop Includes:
4 full days of workshop
Check-in Sunday, June 16 with welcome reception in the evening.
Check-out on Friday, June 21, with packed lunch provided for your journey.

DRAWING DYNAMICS

Solid approaches from an experienced draughtsman. Add gestural excitement to your technique and build on your proportional accuracy. Tips from a contemporary artist who works in the challenging courtroom setting.  Model fee included

COLORED PENCIL LANDSCAPE AND STILLIFE

Sat. March 16- May 25  12:30-3:00PM.

Introductory class will take advantage of the lovely areas around Mariemont. In classroom work will focus on still life studies and composition.

CALLIGRAPHY FOUNDATIONS: UNCIAL!

Sat. March 16- May 25    9:30- 12 noon

Ideal for the beginner to learn! Beautiful curved spines flow easily from the broad-edge pen. This style lends itself to dense patterns and the use of color.

WATERCOLOR PAINTING

Tuesday 6:30—8:30pm

Explore materials for creating expressive watercolor landscapes and still life subjects. Master color mixing and value range to develop your technique.

Using traditional pastel, we will explore the color mixing and layering processes using still life setups, landscape and photo reference.
