We are going to try lunch at a restaurant in Newport next week (June 11th).
We have pick a restaurant so sound off by Friday. We will only keep the location in rotation if we get a good turnout.
Thoughts?
Update: Well, the names I am getting the most are Claddagh's on the Levee (way ahead), Packhouse and York Street.
Last chance to check in!
The winner is:
Packhouse Meats
Here are 3 great local small business suggestions:
ReplyDelete1. The Packhouse on Monmouth Street
2. Pompilio's on Washington Street
3. York Street Cafe on York Street
I will try to attend. I like Strong's Brick Oven Pizzeria but I can't remember what the seating situation is like. Buckhead is another option if we're trying to avoid the parking garage.
ReplyDeleteOh, Packhouse looks yummy. Looks like they might have a hard time fitting a large group but I'd be happy to try it. I've had nothing but bad experiences at Pompilio's.
ReplyDeleteI have not been to Packhouse but like York Street.
ReplyDeleteEmail suggestions include:
Joe's Crab Shack
Bar Louie's
Claddaghs
Dewey's
Brothers (at the Levee)
Don Pablo's
Hofbrauhaus
Bayou Fish House
One note:
Parking is free in the Levee garage 11am until 2pm on weekdays.
Packhouse sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteNot sure I can attend yet, but I'm way overdue.

ReplyDeleteWhat does everyone think?
We are interested. My vote is for Packhouse but I am open to any of them. Let us know where you decide. Thanks for setting this up Christina!!
DeleteAre the people voting for Claddagh French? Their vote doesn't count.
ReplyDeletePackhouse gets my vote too. If we decide on some other place, I'm going to embarrass everyone by picking up three tacos with tripe at La Mexicana and carrying it in. :-)
