The Podcast Your Dreams, My Nightmares had a couple really good recent interviews:
Donato Giancola
Greg Manchess
I just saw Greg's show at the Society of Illustrators when in NYC last week. Great show! I had never seen his paintings in person. Sadly, the show's last day was October 26th.

Another Great Illustration Podcast: Big Illustration Party Time
I have been recently listening to the podcast Big Illustration Party Time.
It is not guest oriented like many others, but rather a discussion about the two hosts careers as they unfold and their lives change (one is recently a father and the other is expecting in the fall). It is interesting to see their changing perspective on life and illustration.
The hosts are Kevin Cross and Joshua Kemble.
If you think Your Dreams, My Nightmares is a little New York City-centric, this is a good one.

Does anyone else have any favorites?

Chris Sickels Interviewed on Your Dreams My Nightmares Podcast
Really nice, long interview with Chris Sickels of Red Nose Studio on the Your Dreams My Nightmares podcast.
I have posted a couple links before to different interviews on the site and this one is really good, particularly if some of the interviews in the past seemed a bit NYC-centic for one's taste.

He talks about going to the Art Academy, working in Cincinnati and Indiana, other Cincinnati illustrators C.F. Payne and Loren Long, and his brief stay in LA for a couple years.

Jon Klassen Interview
Jon Klassen used to be an artist at Dreamworks and also worked on the movie Coraline.
More recently, he has illustrated children's books and just won a Caldecott Award for This Is Not My Hat.

Since so many of us are animation fans and illustrate children's books, I thought some may enjoy listening.

To Do or Not Do a Christmas/Holiday Card and Cool Podcasts

2009 Edition |
Do you all do one every year? Are you just emailing them or printing them?
Post your cards if you do them....
In Other News...
I know a lot of us listen to audiobooks and podcasts while working. I recently stumbled on this new one by Sam Weber last night and it is pretty good. It is just starting; so the show is still working out the rough edges (like so many podcasts).

He basically sits down and talks with different illustrators and art directors each Wednesday. It is part of the lineup for WSVA (a radio station for the School of Visual Arts in NYC) but anyone can listen.
Another excellent podcast is the series on Escape from Illustration Island. http://escapefromillustrationisland.com/podcast/
It has 80 episodes so far and includes interviews with Scott Hull, Drew Struzan, Brian Despain, Elizabeth Dulemba, Anita Kunz, Dave McKean, and many others...
