The sketch was finished last July. Only 2 more seasons to go. Maybe I will get them done by 2012, maybe not. Summer and Fall are full of good material. I am exploring some sort of topiary theme in Summer.
Very nice, Christina :) I would just point out one thing: the girl seems kinda sad. It's her eyes. It's a good expression, just sad eyes :) I can't wait to see the rest of them. Winter's been my favourite, so far
Spring is an up and down time of 80 degrees one day, 40 the next. I wanted to reflect the uncertainty. Plus, I do not want the series to be too happy faced :) This image is all ready pink +
Something I really like about this one, Christina, is the way you have a bit more interaction between the girl and the animals. Holding up the dress so the rabbit can hop by, is a nice touch. It begins to suggest a relationship, which I was sort of wanting in the winter scene. Well done!
Agreed, the bird's nest is an awesome touch. Rings of folk-character. That was actually my favourite element of your Winter image, the bird motif in her hair.

ReplyDeleteYou've definitely captured the essence of a midwestern spring —pink and white at the same time!
ReplyDeleteYou should add a flash flood. :-)
