Introducing Myself and Big News

Hello fellow illustrators,

My name is Hannah Graff.I am new to this blog, so I wanted to introduce myself and inform everyone on some big news that I have received.

I am a recent Art Academy of Cincinnati graduate, with a Bachelor's degree in illustration. Since graduating, I have been self promoting my work and building a portfolio. I have also been doing many freelance projects and working on selling individual works on my society6 account.

A few months ago I decided to create work to be entered in the SummerFair of Cincinnati poster Contest. A few weeks ago, I  got a call explaining that I had won the contest! I am overjoyed and truly grateful for this opportunity! I have always enjoyed going to Summer Fair and attended the event over the past four years. Its such a great event and showcases so much talent! To have my artwork be the main advertisement to this event is so amazing and its a great way to promote myself. I am truly so excited and happy to be a part of this event!

So that is my big news!!

There will be an event taking place on
April 27th
It will take place at the Malton Gallery-
3804 Edwards Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45209
that will be the big "reveal" of my Poster and artwork! I would love for anyone to come to the event, to get to know me and Vise Versa.

I am currently working on an online comic that I wanted to share here as well.
This comic  is a collaboration between myself and my boyfriend. It will be an online series that I will update monthly. Here is the Cover of the Comic called, Red Ved'ma

This image was created using hand drawn elements that I edited and added to in Photoshop

I am joining my boyfriend in making our own online comic. We have been brain storming and working together to create “Red Ved’ma.” We will be posting issues of our new comic on this site!

“Red Ved’ma” is the tale of Iris Veteniye, a 24 year old witch recently awoken from her self-imposed 100 year slumber. Using her day job as a funeral home assistant, Iris watches over the dead for evidence of the occult, fearful that her return may have drawn the attention of the remnants of her former coven. It’s not long before her fears are confirmed, as shadowy creatures and barbaric rituals infiltrate the city and lower the barrier that exists between her world and the horrible realms beyond.
Scott Hale is the magnificent writer, and Hannah Graff is the artist and illustrator for this new online comic, “Red Ved’ma.”
Spread the news and keep an eye out for new issues in the weeks to come!!!

So happy to be a part of this great blog!

Thanks everyone,
Hannah
