Here's my latest Reditorial Cartoon for WCPO.com. It's based on Cardinal's Matt Adams's run-in with a Reds fan last week.

Opening Day Show at Neon's

Too much Mad Magazine as a kid causes strange thoughts...

I did a couple paintings for a Opening Day show at Neon's put together by Ghost Empire Collective. It looks like there will be a lot of cool work. Fortunately, the art could focus on mascots so no one would notice my lack of ability drawing actual sporting events.

The show will feature live art and artwork by illustrator/poster designer Jaimie Filer, photographer/visual artist Snotty RLE, videographer/visual artist Justin K. Hite, painter Doug Meyer, designer Justin Barraclough, artist Brian Lalley, artist Sarah Timmerman, visual artist/Ghost Empire founder Anthony “Tank” Mansfield, Mike Maydak and many more.

Mr. Redlegs has always seemed like a bit of a player. I love this car design based on a real car with a real fin like that.

Mr. Cincinnati - Carl Lindner

Mr. Lindner was one of the first individuals I was asked to draw when I began working at the Cincinnati Post more than ten years ago. This is the illustration I completed for the Reds 2001 special section cover.

CINCINNATI ART MUSEUM TO RELEASE REDS “CLINCH” PRINT TOMORROW

New print by C. F. Payne will be revealed tomorrow at the Cincinnati Art Museum.

The public is invited to a cocktail reception from 3:30 to 7 p.m. on May 4 at the Cincinnati Art Museum where the print will be for sale to the public for the first time.


Framed, numbered and signed prints by C.F. Payne are will be available for $250. Unframed and numbered prints $50.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Reds Community Fund’s baseball-themed outreach programs and the Cincinnati Art Museum.

Jerry Dowling: 1961 National League Champions

From Jerry: This is the third of the drawings I've done annually for the Reds Opening day Findlay Market parade. This will be on t-shirts, and a 4 x 6 foot board attached to a float. The board will eventually wind up in the Reds Hall of Fame.

Announcement: An Evening with C.F. Payne

From Chris: "I am giving a lecture at the Cincinnati Art Museum Tuesday, April 27th. The evening begins at 6:30. It is free and I pretty sure there is going to be a reception thing with a cash bar.


I am going to talk about illustration and the art I did for the museum and the Reds."
