Max and Maggy

These are two characters I was commissioned to design for a small startup that's creating a product to help kids with their fine motor skills.

Extraordinary Uses...

Here's a handful of spot illustrations I did for "Extraordinary Uses For Ordinary Things" —my first mail-order book for Reader's Digest. I did 150 illustrations in total —all 2-color, which not only saved a lot of time, it also helped make my kid-friendly style a bit more adult.

Smart Seal

Here are some color variations of a seal character I created for a line of pool-coating products. This is pretty old stuff and it lies somewhere between illustration and logo design, but I thought I'd post it anyway while I'm waiting for some recent work to go public.

There's a bit more about the project on my blog.
