My fish painting goes to a Chiropractor...

Hello everyone, ok, so i'm actually going to post some of my work. this is a painting I did just for fun, it's big and took a while but I do love it. Fish are a bit of a passion for me and I long for the sun in colder months so you can see where it comes from. My good friend Dr. Nicole White swung by and oogled all over it, so i decided to send it off to her newly opened chiropractic office tomorrow... it's better there than in my guest bedroom.

  1. You know I LOVE this painting! I am glad it has a new home! It gives you an excuse to create another large piece.

I hope you will bring some of your work Tuesday to the mixer :)

  2. yes really nice work....do you keep fresh or salt-water tanks? I haven't had mine set up for several years but miss having them up and running.

  3. Thanks! Funny Christina, i thought the same thing...'good now i can paint more fish'......as for the tanks, well, I used to have some pretty big salt tanks with some beautiful fish, but since the kids were born they dropped a few rungs, now we have a small freshwater tank with a really fast beta and a giant catfish who eats all his friends. Now I'll most likely see my fish when diving, hanging out at the aquarium and painting them on canvas. What did you have?

  4. haha I can relate to that! I had oscars for a while but they tend to growwwww into whatever space you have...if fish can have personalities these did. A couple of fairly agile cats got the last two I had - big mess as they didn't give up easily. I had a variety of ciclids after that; one Jack Dempsey kept the whole tank in line. When I had a salt tank for a much shorter time I couldn't afford the fish, but the crabs and starfish were interesting if not colorful...this was all over 25 years ago so maybe I should set one up again...I'm sure the filters, heaters & other stuff are much better now.
