The Hungry Housewives Finally Finished!

The series is finally finished! It will be in the Slam Bang Comic Anthology Femme Fatales issue in 2012. (I will have a link up soon.)

It is the Hunger Games meets The Real Housewives in a series I would so watch on television. The Real Housewives show has an almost Othello quality where everyone is the character of honest Iago.

Also, kudos if you get the sci-fi movie reference on page 3...

The jokes just write themselves... Yes, my dream is to be a writer for the Simpsons or work for Mad Magazine...

Slam Bang: Portrait for Comic Anthology

I am finishing up a little 4-page comic for my friend Allen Freeman's comic anthology Slam Bang.

This is the first color volume and the theme is "femme fatales"; so for the bio page, I did this self-portrait.

The story is called "The Hungry Housewives" and is The Hunger Games meets The Real Housewives and hilarity ensues... (I hope...)

This is the comic title type...

Iron Giant Chef Mini Comic

This is a mini comic I did for a friend's comic anthology called Slam Bang. The theme is robots and I could not resist the topic. I do these to relax when I am doing a LOT of painting. It is like a palette cleanser.

I also love bizarre sci-fi robot speak.

The small press comic show SPACE is in a couple weeks and I hope to make it up there for a day.

First Art 2011

Although this was technically done in 2010, this is a teaser for the 3 pager I am doing for the Slam Bang comic anthology all robot issue called Iron Giant Chef: Roncobot vs. Spambot...

For added fun, my layout thumbnail:

A Wafer Thin Snack

This is a mini-comic I did for a friend's anthology with a fast food theme. I do not get to do this kind of thing often so it is recreational. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Waiting Room Cartoon

With all the health care discussion going on these days, here is a cartoon I did for my friend Allen Freeman's comic SlamBang a couple years ago... I especially like the usage of the comic as a filtration device.
