The Ides of Marge

Big doin’s over at the Zombie Marge Blog ( http://zombiemarge.blogspot.com). There has not been a post there for over a year, so I’ve decided to revamp the site and make it the home for my new web comic, Zombie Marge Comix. Yes, you heard right! Every two weeks I plan to put up a new strip following the exploits of everyone’s favorite undead curmudgeon and her cast of monsters and misfits. Ol’ Marge is set for some wild misadventures. On the in-between weeks I will post comic convention tales, news from my zombie-proof bunker and sneak previews of some of the other books I’m involved with.

So join us on March 15^th for the Ides of Marge, celebrate the premier of her first episode. Sign up, post your comments there, who knows, Marge herself may chime in, if she gets ticked off enough.

Sneak Peek-Comic Anthology

Here is the first page for the 10 page story I am doing for our 12-Way with Cheese comic anthology. It is very different from what I usually do. I have had this story idea for years but the art approach did not work because it was not cartoony enough. I scrapped all of my initial concept art and redesigned all the characters.

Below is a worksheet for the characters. They are literally "star shaped" people. I will post more pages as I finish.

Jerry Dowling: Another Twelve Way Comic Sneak Peek

Just in time for the Day of the Dead, here is another page from the comic anthology by Jerry featuring a variety of zombie caricatures. Jerry's comment about the piece: "Shows what effect Marge Schott and Mike Brown have had on my brain. And those two zombies are coming in the next couple drawings."

Twelve Way with Cheese Teaser

As many of you know, a bunch of us are working on a Cincinnati Comic anthology.

This is the cover so far. Once all the interior art is finished, the little squares will be filled on the front of the paper. Many contributors to this blog are submitting work including Daryll Collins who did this cover. Dave Hartz posted some of his story a couple weeks ago.

As the book takes shape, we will post more teasers here. After I get out from under my current mountain of deadlines, I will finish some of my half-sketched story and post some of it.

Below are Tim, Viki, Jerry, myself, and Dave at our last get together to go over the content we are contributing.

We will post a pic of the whole crew hopefully in the next teaser.
