Road Trip: Norman Rockwell Exhibit and Louisville Slugger Museum

Cannot wait until November to see some original art by Norman Rockwell at the Dayton Art Institute?

I just read in the Cincinnati Enquirer that the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory has and exhibition called Norman Rockwell: Sports until August 4th.

From the site: "Open now through August 14, this special show features original sports-themed artwork by Norman Rockwell, the beloved illustrator best known for his iconic Saturday Evening Post covers. Admission to the exhibit is included with purchase of a ticket to Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory."

Well worth the trip!

  1. I went to a contemporary art fair in Shanghai recently, which was a real eye-opener. Chinese contemporary art has come leaps and bounds from the watery Zen landscapes to huge canvases of strange-looking beings. The prices being asked and paid were huge too.
Oriental, if not Chinese, my print of Jean-Léon Gérôme's painting, http://en.wahooart.com/A55A04/w.nsf/OPRA/BRUE-8BWS6R, bought some time ago from wahooart.com, is as lovely as ever.
