I'm finally posting my Monster Pals comic, after much prodding from Christina. I wish I had four of them so I could out-post Daryll, but alas, this is my one and only.
This reminds me a bit of a comic called "Slick the Cat" that appeared monthly in a surfing magazine (Surfing or Surfer —can't remember which.) It too had a boffo decorative border and a loosey-goosey panel structure— I really enjoyed it.
Thanks everyone. I've got another Monster Pals story in the works. They really are fun. I guess I can honestly say I'm enjoying this comic thing. When I first decided I wanted to be an illustrator I started doing single gag cartoons. But then I heard how little money they make so I switched to children's illustration where you make a tiny bit more.
I am so glad you finally posted it!!! It is rather timely since I am going on vacation tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI hope we are in better shape than your characters after the trip :)
Love the characters, color and panel layout. Lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteI would like to see a whole batch of Monster Pals escapades. Then collected in a book or as a running series in a kid's magazine.
This is great - your scenes are so convoluted and crazy - I love 'em!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'll join the lovefest.

ReplyDeleteMonstah Pals, Monstah Pals!!!
ReplyDeleteHow'd I miss this one? I wish I made "loosey-goosey" panel structures.
