I think that's a good idea, but I wonder if it makes for better reading if a blogger/follower just makes a post when he/she sees something noteworthy. Adding more sidebars and lists will just dilute what's already there, and eventually all of it will be routinely ignored.I have bookmarks and/or facebook links to almost anything I check regularly.I'd be interested in hearing other people's thoughts. I could very well be alone.
I see what you are saying but some of my favorite sites I found through links on blogs I already liked. I am always finding out about new ones too. By the way, is anyone on going to Icon 6 in LA this summer? What did you think of the one you went to Chuck?
I got a lot out of it (ICON3). There are a lot of choices, so you can customize the experience. As illustrators, I think we're lucky in that our conferences (ICON, SCBWI) are a pretty good value. I've been to one HOW Conference (for graphic designers) and even though it is very very well run, I think it's outrageously expensive. This topic would make a good thread. Scott could give a lot of valuable info. on conferences. Hopefully, he'll opine here.
