RIP Trader Joe's Blog.......

Hey fellow Cincy artists!

Just so you know, I've been asked to take down my Trader Joe's blog per company policy. (They like to be as private as possible about store photos.)

So, take a peek if you hadn't already: a Sign Artist by Day
I'm switching it to private sometime this weekend.

I'll still be making tons of cool stuff at work, & taking photos of it, but I need to keep it to myself!
This makes me sad, but I do understand the why's behind it.... and I still ♥ my job very much :~)

  1. That's a bummer, Paula! I really enjoyed the blog while it lasted. I'll particularly miss your TJ posts on this blog —the chickens and armadillos lent a great deal of variety to the mix.

If it helps, I have the same problem —lots of artwork that I just don't feel comfortable posting. The rigamorole of getting explicit permission offsets the joys of sharing.

  2. Agreed!
I've been wanting to share my final interior illustrations from the book I'm working on, but it wouldn't really be kosher.... *sigh*

  3. That is a bummer. I think many companies are over cautious but that is the way things are. I know so many artists that are cannot show their work due to NDAs. I post very little of my industrial design work because of these policies even though I still do a lot.

One publisher I work for is very encouraging about posting my work for them; that is very refreshing.

I do not make it often to TJ's so I will miss your posts very much...

  4. Crazy. I can't post anything I work on for TAG, so I just post sketches and some personal stuff until it's safe to post official things.
